The fiber cables with vacuum feed-through made by Sch?fter+Kirchhoff are equipped with singlemode, polarization-maintaining singlemode fibers or multimode fibers for wavelengths from 360 to 1800 nm.
The feed-throughs are suitable for vacuums down to 10–7 mbar and are supplied with either a small flange KF16 (DIN 28403) (optional: KF40/KF50) or a screw-type flange (M12 × 1 mm). On the vacuum side, the fiber cables are 900 μm buffered and, outside the vacuum, the ?3 mm cable has Kevlar strain-relief.
For vacuum feed-throughs with singlemode fibers, the connector away from the vacuum can be core-aligned as an option (< 0.5 μm).
The fiber cables can be equipped with end caps on one or both ends in order to reduce the power density at the fiber end face.
